Events

The Samathuva Pongal Festival was celebrated in Kallakurichi with great enthusiasm and community participation. The celebration highlighted Tamil culture, traditional Pongal customs and the spirit of equality. Farmers, local residents and government representatives participated in the programme. Traditional activities and Pongal celebrations added cultural vibrancy to the event. The festival promoted unity, social harmony and respect for Tamil traditions.

The annual Brahmotsavam at Sri Ulagalantha Perumal Temple was celebrated with traditional religious rituals and colourful processions. The festival featured morning and evening utsavams throughout the celebration period. Special events included vahana processions, Thirukalyana Utsavam and the grand temple chariot procession.
